Located in the heart of Singapore, 51 Tras (now defunct) is a cafe and event space  housed in a beautifully preserved conservation shophouse.

Nested in a unique and charming location perfect for hosting a wide range of creative events, one can expect to find great coffee and a constantly changing menu that features the creations of talented patissiers and chefs at 51 Tras . 

A new steel and glass structure built under the stairway's soffit, acted as a contrasting internal facade against the original conservation facade. The chemistry between the Client and SILO was organically met with an exploratory process that ended up creating mostly self-made custom furniture which formed a dialogue between the new and old, birthing a special sense of place and unique authenticity.
